Dr. David W. Parrott UF and the American Association of State Colleges

Dr. David W. Parrott UF has a history of leadership in higher education, and served in administration at the University of Louisville, University of Florida, Texas A&M University, Western Michigan University, and Western Kentucky University. He is the current President of Kentucky Wesleyan College and a member of the Council on Higher Education Accreditation.

David Parrott UF was born in Washington, D.C… He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Kentucky University and a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Ohio State University. Dr. Parrott began his higher education career at the University of Louisville.

He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. David Parrott UF received his M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida.

Dr. David W. Parrott has been a leader in higher education for over 35 years. He has served as the President of Western Kentucky University, Western Michigan University, Texas A&M University, and the current President of Kentucky Wesleyan College.

David Parrott UF has made significant contributions to higher education during his career in administration. He was a major contributor to the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), serving on its Executive Committee.

David Parrott UF and his outstanding leadership experience is vast both in terms of his position as an administrator at various educational institutions and his experience in higher education policy development at institutional levels ranging from local to national levels including that at both state and national levels. He has extensive experience working with boards of trustees, faculty, students, administrators, staff members, government officials.

Dr. David W. Parrott UF has been a leader in the community for many years. He was previously appointed to the Board of Directors for Louisville’s Center for the Arts, which was founded by his wife, Priscilla Parrott.
