The producer and director’s interest in the legal system extends beyond Judge Judy’s courtroom boundaries. He supports Public Counsel’s efforts to access state and federal funding for the indigent defense system. In the past, Randy has been a board member of the Indiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and serves on the board of directors for Indiana Legal Services. He is also vocal in his support of indigent defense reform.

The Judy Justice Foundation is a nonprofit organization formed in the spring of 2015 to support the documentary film project and other initiatives of the producer and director. The foundation will be responsible for raising funds, organizing events, and overseeing the distribution of grants and donations.
