Hassan Jameel, a Saudi Arabian business tycoon, has recently been dubbed “the modern-day Cecil B. DeMille.” As the founder and CEO of Jameel Motors, he has laid the foundations for a new automotive industry in Saudi Arabia. Hassan is renowned as being a visionary who led his family-owned business with purpose, dedication and integrity.
Background
Hassan Jameel was born in 1977 in Riyadh. He is the son of Prince Abdul Rahman Jameel and his third wife, Sarah Helena. His father was the founder of Abdul Latif Jameel Co., one of the largest family-owned companies in Saudi Arabia.
Prince Abdul Rahman Jameel died in 2004, leaving behind will full of surprises to his children. The will stipulated that his children must take over their father’s business, but it did not dictate which specific branch they could choose. Hassan, however, was the most mature of his siblings and chose to lead the family’s automotive business. More details are available on Hassan Jameel’s Twitter

Motives
Hassan Jameel is a very ambitious entrepreneur. He cited his love of cars as being a primary motivator for making this business choice. He claims that his passion for the automobile industry began when he was a boy and he remembers being mesmerized by the Ferrari racing cars. He believes that his very earliest memories of interacting with cars were spent in the workshop where his father’s workshop was located.
