Shelton Haynes Makes New York a Better Place Children

Shelton Haynes made a big move for the kids. Discover what he has in store for the young citizens of New York.

About Shelton Haynes

Haynes runs the Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation as the president and CEO. The Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation does not operate like a normal business in New York. Instead, it operates like a government facility. To accomplish this, Haynes has a seasoned team on his side. The members of his team have one purpose, which to provide essential services to the people.

The New Digs for the Kids

In order to make New York a better place for the kids, Haynes transformed the local youth center into a school age child care center. During his journey, he followed all of the protocols and completed the licensing process.

The brand-new child care center benefits kids who are under 13 years old. They can stop by the center after school. The facility will also accept a group of kids when school is out during the holidays and throughout the summer. As for the building capacity, it’s large enough for a full-size staff, but the staff will only manage up to seven students.

Shelton’s Plans for the Future

The license is Shelton’s key to success. Because he runs a licensed child care center, he is able to apply for grants on the city and state level. Shelton will not stop there. In addition to grants, he will pursue other funding opportunities so that he can set up fun field trip outside of the island for the kids.
