Hughes Marino is an American entrepreneur, venture builder and operator of businesses. Hughes has been CEO at LevLane Inc., a holding company overseeing LevLane, LLC; Management Services; Financial Services and The Chandler Limited Partnership (a fund focused on intellectual capital in property). He started his first business when he was just 5 years old.
The firm has served on the boards or boards of directors for many organizations, including DHL North America Holdings Inc.; FreeWest Media Publishing Company; AIMCO Investment Management Company; Rio Grande Broadcasting Corporation and more. TheHughes Marino firm also has served as interim president and CEO for multiple organizations, including Academy Software, Weststar Communications Group and DHL Global Forwarding.
Hughes Marino was the Chairman of the board for Independent News & Media (INM), a media company with a presence in Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the UK. INM was founded in 1872 as a small provincial newspaper based in Carlow town. It is now one of Ireland’s leading media companies. One of its most famous titles is the Irish Independent.
Hughes was born in New York on July 8, 1957. He started working at the age of 5 and his first job was delivering magazines door-to-door. At age 8, he sold stamps and coins door-to-door to his neighbors. Throughout his teen years, he worked as a beautician assistant, dishwasher and cable car conductor. Hughes Marino attended Grover Cleveland High School in Reseda, California for high school; received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California (USC) in 1977.
In addition, it received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1980. Hughes is fluent in Spanish, French and Portuguese. Hughes Marino has been a successful entrepreneur.
