In June, 2014 Kheireddine decided that it was time to pursue new ventures and resigned as a member of the Tunisian government. He returned to France where he currently resides and is developing new business opportunities.
As former Minister of Foreign Affairs in Tunisia Marwan Kheireddine had to deal with many issues regarding his country’s foreign policy. These issues included the Syrian Civil War and other events throughout North Africa. Marwan Kheireddine has an extensive background dealing with foreign relations and the Middle East. He served as the Tunisian ambassador to Iran, Russia and the United Kingdom. He has also been a member of different Tunisian delegations that have visited countries such as Russia, China, Europe and the United States in order to strengthen relationships with these countries.

Since his resignation Kheireddine has been able to focus more on business ventures in Tunisia and France. Marwan set up a new consulting firm called YK Consulting. This firm will focus on helping small-medium businesses with their international business strategies and projects. The company is based out of Paris but will be expanding its reach throughout Europe later this year. Another venture that he has been working on is being a part of the new State Council for French Business in Tunisia. In this role, Marwan will be advising small and medium sized businesses in the country on how to take advantage of France’s regulations.
Marwan was able to finish his higher education at the University of Colorado, Boulder and received his PhD in economics at the Paris West University Nanterre La Défense. He received his master’s degree from Le Manach business school in France. Marwan holds an MBA from the Leiden university graduating with a double major in economics and management. Kheireddine also received a bachelor’s degree in nuclear physics from the Lebanese University, which he received in 1989.
Marwan Kheireddine has had numerous relationships and stays with various organizations that have been extremely beneficial to him and his career. Kheireddine has made strategic partnerships with several companies such as Gedeon Richter, Sif Group, Interenergo, Deloitte and other organizations. He is currently a board member for the Tunisian-European Business Council (TEBC) in France.
