NJ has designed, implemented and strongly advocated for over 30 Renewable Energy Integration projects in East Africa between 2011 and 2015. These projects have led to the development of wind energy capacity per the long-term policy objective of Tanzania’s Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MoEM).
The company is currently developing an integrated wind, solar PV and hydropower plant in Kenya that the German government will finance. The project includes a 3MW on-grid solar PV array and 2MW domestic landfill gas utilization capacity.
NJ Ayuk’s policy advocacy seeks to contribute towards formulating a common African approach to renewable energy integration geared towards stimulating investment and increasing renewable energy generation capacity across Africa. Through its policy advocacy, NJ Ayuk has worked with several countries on policy frameworks and strategies to integrate renewable energy into national grids. The company also provides support services to international financial institutions that have attempted to integrate sustainable development initiatives into their lending activities across Africa.
